Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mariano Lacasa started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esen Sanal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Lacasa in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Esen Sanal saved S.E.R. Caxias do Sul from getting behind. 8 minutes into the game, Chile's Mariano Lacasa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Esen Sanal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Renato Augusto in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chile's goalie prevented a goal. In the 16th minute, Tarcisio Mangueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Renato Augusto's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. The S.E.R. Caxias do Sul fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Renato Augusto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Renato Augusto's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. After 22 minutes Chile's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lei Feng Yan who took care of the corner kick. Esen Sanal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 27th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Lei Feng Yan could shoot a difficult shot in the 29th minute, which Thiago Pliego however easily saved by the left post. 33 minutes into the match, Renato Augusto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Renato Augusto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 37 minutes into the match, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Esen Sanal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Chile's zone, Lei Feng Yan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal and Lei Feng Yan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lei Feng Yan in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th minute, one of S.E.R. Caxias do Sul:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for S.E.R. Caxias do Sul. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Renato Augusto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Renato Augusto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pliego was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Tarcisio Mangueira kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Orlando Casaus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlando Casaus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esen Sanal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mariano Lacasa struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Esen Sanal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lei Feng Yan, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renato Augusto in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. After 75 minutes, Renato Augusto made it 4-2 with a short kick to the right side. Chile's Thiago Pliego tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 77 played minutes S.E.R. Caxias do Sul got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Owsiak. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Esen Sanal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renato Augusto in the 88th minute of play. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Esen Sanal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Siekkötter in the 96th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 97 minutes into the match, Orlando Casaus dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Esen Sanal, 4-3. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul had won after a very even match.
