Peru's Efraim Gilabert quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Carl Fransson, made in the 10th minute of the game. Otto Kaxe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Noboa having to interfere. Black is Back's Glenn Strömberg suffered a sore thigh after 12 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Kristóf Balázs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 18th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Otto Kaxe in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 21 minutes into the match, Black is Back's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Kristóf Balázs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Carl Eckegren in the 24th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Milagros Fraga scored 1-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kristóf Balázs, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gilbert Sjögren hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Kristóf Balázs made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 30th minute. When Moises Gayoso came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moises Gayoso couldn't finish the play. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edvin Melhus in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otto Kaxe in the 35th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Peru's Julian Murillo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kristóf Balázs. That made the score 2-1 after 37 minutes of play. The supporters of Peru booed when Black is Back was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilbert Sjögren didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Georg Moberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Peru booed when Black is Back was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gugu Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luz Tejedor struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Kristóf Balázs didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. After a rather tough play, Black is Back's Otto Kaxe got a free kick in the 56th minute. 58 minutes into the game, Black is Back's Otto Kaxe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Black is Back's goalkeeper Kristóf Balázs, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Peru were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after Black is Back's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. 73 minutes into the match, Black is Back's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Kristóf Balázs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eliseo Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Carl Eckegren made in the 78th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Otto Kaxe however managed to control. Rafael Gallo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kristóf Balázs read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play.
