Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tomas Berganza made the kick off which started today's match. In the 5th minute, Franklin Salgado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Tamboril's Franklin Salgado slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcos Cotilla. That made the score 1-0 after 9 minutes of play. In the 11th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abraham Alguacil to maneuver through the defense. When Tomas Berganza came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Berganza couldn't finish the play. Frank Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 23rd minute of play forced Tamboril's goalkeeper Frank Netto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christiano Freitas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Tomas Berganza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frank Netto was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Isidoro Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franklin Salgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute of the match Tamboril got a corner. Panama's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Loïc Duprey ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 46th minute, Waldir Cearense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 47 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tamboril! In the 48th minute there was a penalty for Panama. Abraham Alguacil stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Frank Netto. 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Waldir Cearense made a kick off. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Loïc Duprey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Netto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Loïc Duprey came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Netto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Tamboril getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Clemente Antunes hit a great ball. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Netto having to interfere. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 76th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Netto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, Tomas Berganza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Panama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tamboril the free kick. Tomas Berganza hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Franklin Salgado took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Abraham Alguacil struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Frank Netto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Berger, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
