With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 52 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Indiano. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos-Armando Valderrama in the 53rd minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Veth Crystals fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 65th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Chile a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mariano Lacasa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Veth Crystals's Marcos Lama. 2-2. Chile's Mariano Lacasa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcos Lama in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Lacasa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Lama breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 76 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcos Lama, 2-3. Mariano Lacasa placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Marcos Lama didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Marcos Lama in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Veth Crystals's Marcos Lama proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Veth Crystals from getting a goal against them. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Lama read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gwidon Patora in the 100th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Chile left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Veth Crystals.
