After having played for 14 minutes, Tião Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Muget's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tião Amaral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tião Amaral in the 15th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Tião Amaral came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Florin Stancu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Joan Quesada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 24 minutes, Tião Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Muget's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tião Amaral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Venegas charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonathan Venegas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Muget booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute of the match Joan Quesada shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ernest Mazilu made in the 35th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Florin Stancu however managed to control. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isac Gligor having to interfere. After 45 minutes, Jose Correa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Muget players grew even worse after the yellow card.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Tião Amaral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tião Amaral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 59 minutes into the game, Muget's Florin Stancu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Salvador Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Muget's Florin Stancu shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-4 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 71st minute, Tião Amaral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. When Florin Stancu came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Muget fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florin Stancu couldn't finish the play. Rigoberto Mina lost his temper 78 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 81 minutes into the match, Tião Amaral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tião Amaral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Tião Amaral blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Jonathan Ferrant stood somewhat misplaced when Tião Amaral came free in front of goal and shot 0-7 to the left of him in the 86 minute. 92 minutes into the match, Tião Amaral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tião Amaral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. Tião Amaral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play.
