A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Ham Kaas came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 25th minute. With an all-out effort, Pannekoeken's Jonathan Ferrant threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ham Kaas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jan Zenden's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jan Zenden helped the player get up and apologised. Haroldo Weather ran back to his position shaking his head.
