Ç Ā M Î Ö Ń Ĕ R Ö Ş's Enzo Gonza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Ç Ā M Î Ö Ń Ĕ R Ö Ş's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Ç Ā M Î Ö Ń Ĕ R Ö Ş's Enzo Gonza managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 19th minute of play forced Ç Ā M Î Ö Ń Ĕ R Ö Ş's goalkeeper Enzo Gonza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luciano Eder got free with Julio Vera in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 24 minutes into the match, Ç Ā M Î Ö Ń Ĕ R Ö Ş's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Enzo Gonza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ç Ā M Î Ö Ń Ĕ R Ö Ş's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enzo Gonza came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ç Ā M Î Ö Ń Ĕ R Ö Ş's Julio Belarmo got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 34th minute. The Ç Ā M Î Ö Ń Ĕ R Ö Ş fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enzo Gonza should have stopped the shot. In the 43rd minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Enzo Gonza. Ç Ā M Î Ö Ń Ĕ R Ö Ş's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. The Ç Ā M Î Ö Ń Ĕ R Ö Ş players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-3.

When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Daniel Zorita put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Enzo Gonza. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Agustín Saelices was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enzo Gonza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ç Ā M Î Ö Ń Ĕ R Ö Ş's Enzo Gonza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Ç Ā M Î Ö Ń Ĕ R Ö Ş from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Enzo Gonza. That made the score 0-6 in the 75 minute of play. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ç Ā M Î Ö Ń Ĕ R Ö Ş's goalkeeper Enzo Gonza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 84th minute of the match, Cristian Sancho got a very nice opportunity to score, but Enzo Gonza was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 86th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enzo Gonza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustín Saelices could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Enzo Gonza made a huge save. Enzo Gonza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. The Ç Ā M Î Ö Ń Ĕ R Ö Ş fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
