In the 3rd match minute, Lucio Quieto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paolo Maldini to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 4th minute of play forced Lucio Quieto's goalkeeper Genaro Montez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Genaro Montez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 4th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Lucio Quieto's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Genaro Montez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Montez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paolo Maldini during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Paolo Maldini hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Genaro Montez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Julian Murillo sped through Lucio Quieto's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Genaro Montez. 23 minutes into the game, Paolo Maldini threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 26th minute Sixto Nesto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julian Murillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 41 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Alonso Berganza. Erdi Regaip sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sixto Nesto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Genaro Montez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 52nd minute of the match. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lucio Quieto's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. Augusto Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Lucio Quieto's 吴鸿渊 was substituted for Augusto Arias. After a rather tough play, Lucio Quieto's Augusto Arias got a free kick in the 56th minute. Genaro Montez came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Genaro Montez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the match, Lucio Quieto's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Genaro Montez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Genaro Montez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 67th minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Genaro Montez was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erdi Regaip in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute Lucio Quieto were awarded a corner. Paolo Maldini went to the cornerflag to take it. Lucio Quieto's Paolo Maldini was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rolando Noboa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sixto Nesto in the 76th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Alonso Berganza hit a great ball. The supporters of Peru booed when Lucio Quieto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filomeno Quiroga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Lucio Quieto's Filomeno Quiroga got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 85th match minute, Lucio Quieto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sun Jian Wen to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Mina in the 87th minute of play forced Lucio Quieto's goalkeeper Genaro Montez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Didi Wakashimazu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peru's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
