Dave Basso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. If Nestor Ondino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nestor Ondino charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nestor Ondino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Basso in the 22nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnoldo Karmel got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. C.A Huracan were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arnoldo Karmel took the corner. When Marcos Sabino came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the C.A Huracan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcos Sabino couldn't finish the play. Agustin Dantae kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Dave Basso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Delmiro Dominic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnoldo Karmel in the 40th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Dave Basso dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. Timoteo Machado replaced Dave Basso. Francisco-Javier Campo kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timoteo Machado in the 66th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute, Fausto Elixio made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. The supporters of Venezuela booed when C.A Huracan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco-Javier Campo didn't get a good kick on the ball.
