Heiner Studer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Heiner Studer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Heiner Studer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th match minute, 1. FC Union Weberei was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lindo Kran to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heiner Studer having to interfere. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 1. FC Union Weberei's Heiner Studer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 28th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in 1. FC Union Weberei's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Heiner Studer came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Heiner Studer. Heiner Studer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind 1. FC Union Weberei's goalkeeper Heiner Studer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Heiner Studer in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 59 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Heiner Studer. Daniel Zorita showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Erik Hertzog received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. The corner ended in Felix Montenegro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but 1. FC Union Weberei's Heiner Studer did a great save. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Felix Montenegro put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Heiner Studer. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casimir Wickihalter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Heiner Studer in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Heiner Studer made a huge save. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Heiner Studer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. 78 minutes into the match, 1. FC Union Weberei's goalkeeper Heiner Studer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. 82 minutes into the game, Erik Hertzog was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 1. FC Union Weberei's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Erik Hertzog hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 85thth minute of the game Nico Gruenewald who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, 1. FC Union Weberei's Heiner Studer got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Owain Wollenmann kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Ecuador played a much better game than 1. FC Union Weberei and deserved their victory. The 1. FC Union Weberei players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
