In the 5th minute, Ahmet Boran Kalhan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hector Covarrubias scored 2-0 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pars Akar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the TRABZONSPOR defense, Hector Covarrubias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pars Akar. The TRABZONSPOR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pars Akar should have stopped the shot. When Hector Covarrubias came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Paraguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Covarrubias couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute, Ahmet Boran Kalhan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes into the match, TRABZONSPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Covarrubias came free, but Pars Akar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jaime Pardo to strike the kick off in the second half. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yavuz Selimhan Tunçkaya in the 52nd minute of the match. 56 minutes into the match, TRABZONSPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Covarrubias came free, but Pars Akar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hector Covarrubias took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pars Akar. Pars Akar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. 67 minutes into the match, Hector Covarrubias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pars Akar. TRABZONSPOR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hector Covarrubias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Pars Akar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaime Pardo's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Hector Covarrubias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pars Akar having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Birdal Uygar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacobo Nores was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. 84 minutes into the game, Paraguay's Jaime Pardo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pars Akar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Hector Covarrubias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jaime Pardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Pars Akar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hector Covarrubias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jaime Pardo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pars Akar having to make a save. Paraguay's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
