Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Youri Djorkaeff started the match with the kick off. Danny Pasquier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Danny Pasquier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 15th minute. In the 19th minute Edmond Kubiak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Bilal Moutte in the 26th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. Alberto Gisbert's late challenge caught a Avel Vat's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberto Gisbert helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Avel Vat booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Seco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Danny Pasquier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. With a little luck, Avel Vat's Danny Pasquier got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Avel Vat booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Youri Djorkaeff in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. 45 minutes into the match, Avel Vat's Youri Djorkaeff sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alberto Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the match, Youri Djorkaeff had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Youri Djorkaeff was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After the first half Avel Vat were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Seco to strike the kick off in the second half. Danny Pasquier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 53rd minute of the match. Maximiliano Escribano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Jaime Cazalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Cazalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danny Pasquier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Avel Vat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Malcom Vrignon didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Seco in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Danny Pasquier saved Avel Vat from getting behind. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Youri Djorkaeff's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Kevin Carballal got a free kick in the 76th minute. Youri Djorkaeff recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Seco in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Danny Pasquier saved Avel Vat from getting behind. 82 minutes into the match, Avel Vat's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Danny Pasquier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Bilal Moutte in the 83rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. After 85 played minutes Avel Vat got a freekick which was hit by Youri Djorkaeff. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Youri Djorkaeff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Uruguay's Francisco Seco in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Avel Vat's goalie prevented a goal. Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 95 played minutes Avel Vat got a freekick which was hit by Geoffrey Estienne. Bilal Moutte made in the 97th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. The Uruguay manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Avel Vat to win.
