After 7 played minutes, Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's Gunnar Pettersson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benito Sanz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK reached it. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Arkın Öğüç kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Michael Karlsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Michael Karlsson ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 16th minute, Michael Karlsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 24 minutes into the match, Arkın Öğüç had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arkın Öğüç was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Michael Karlsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joakim Forss in the 31st minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 31 minutes, Arkın Öğüç made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 35th minute, Arkın Öğüç made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arkın Öğüç in the 38th minute of play. Alexander Carballo's late challenge caught a Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexander Carballo helped the player get up and apologised. 44 minutes into the match, Joakim Forss notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-9 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Arkın Öğüç managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's supporters rose to their feet, but Arkın Öğüç was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arkın Öğüç scored 0-11 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Costa Rica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Joakim Forss scored to the left of an out of position Benito Sanz, making the score, 0-12. In the 65th minute, Joakim Forss made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-14. In the 68th match minute, Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gunnar Pettersson to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Joakim Forss took a quick shot and it went in 0-15 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK made a substitution. Ingemar Flink replaced Nicholas Bokvist. Hugo Ferrant hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joakim Forss got free with Benito Sanz in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Joakim Forss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joakim Forss blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. 91 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Joakim Forss came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Costa Rica fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
