After a rather tough play, Pannekoeken's Emil Skikiewicz got a free kick in the 4th minute. 7 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elbert Haar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Weather, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Weather in the 21st minute of play. When Pannekoeken's Haroldo Weather in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Pannekoeken getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Otto Hovenkamp hit a great ball. Pannekoeken's Elbert Haar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Pannekoeken from getting a goal against them. Pannekoeken's Elbert Haar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 35th minute of play. Cristian Sancho's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Elbert Haar skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 43 minutes into the match, Pannekoeken's goalkeeper Elbert Haar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Elbert Haar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Pannekoeken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Geraets didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Haroldo Weather made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Elbert Haar. Pannekoeken's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 58 minutes into the match, Pannekoeken's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Elbert Haar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Diego Mancebo was substituted for Luis Andino. Fernando Geraets hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Primitivo Andino missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 62 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Elbert Haar right hand side. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fernando Geraets was slow to take the kick. During this time Pannekoeken's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Pannekoeken's corner Fernando Geraets fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Haroldo Weather received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Haroldo Weather slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 80th minute. Elbert Haar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After having played for 90 minutes, Haroldo Weather managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pannekoeken's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haroldo Weather was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ecuador's Cristian Sancho in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pannekoeken's goalie prevented a goal. After 95 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elbert Haar was left in no man's land by his defense there! There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ecuador fully deserved thier win.
