The audience thought a goal was coming when Maxim Strugure got free with Dante Lacasa in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 11th minute of play forced Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Valer Nuțu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valer Nuțu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 13th minute of the match. In the 14th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. At last the ball reached Lautaro Mancebo at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-. 0-1. 18 minutes into the match, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valer Nuțu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Valer Nuțu. Valer Nuțu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Valer Nuțu came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Luca Zorita. But to his dismay, Luca Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 25th minute of play forced Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Valer Nuțu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valer Nuțu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 28th minute of the match. In the 28thth minute of the game Alberto Tafalla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Valer Nuțu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Valer Nuțu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Tafalla went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Lautaro Mancebo succeeded in the game's 36th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-5. In the 39thth minute of the game Luca Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Valer Nuțu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 40th match minute, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Guriță to maneuver through the defense. Valer Nuțu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberto Tafalla's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. The audience was convinced that Luca Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valer Nuțu was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Valer Nuțu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 46th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.
In the 52nd minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valer Nuțu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luca Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Valer Nuțu came out and tried to block the shot, but Luca Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 54th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valer Nuțu. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Tafalla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. 60 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Facundo Cadaval came free, but Valer Nuțu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valer Nuțu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 61st minute of play. Luca Zorita took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valer Nuțu. Valer Nuțu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. 69 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Facundo Cadaval came free, but Valer Nuțu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Valer Nuțu got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Valer Nuțu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Petre Benga. But to his dismay, Petre Benga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-8. Valer Nuțu made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Valer Nuțu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 78th minute of the match. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Luca Zorita hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the game, one of Mexico:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petre Benga, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. When Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Petre Benga, in the 85th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-. 87 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Facundo Cadaval came free, but Valer Nuțu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Valer Nuțu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- from getting a goal against them. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Alberto Tafalla 90 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-9. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Felix Luque got a free kick in the 92nd minute. 96 minutes in the game, Joel Gaona fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Valer Nuțu having to interfere. Mexico's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
