In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ilulea FC's goalkeeper Gabby Arias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Ilulea FC booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Garrido didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ilulea FC's goalkeeper Gabby Arias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eleuterio Mirande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The goal made the score 1-1. 35 minutes into the game, Eleuterio Mirande cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Thiago Pliego was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thiago Pliego didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eleuterio Mirande went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 43rd minute, Mariano Lacasa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gabby Arias was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. 46 minutes into the match, Ilulea FC's goalkeeper Gabby Arias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

The wind increased when Mariano Lacasa made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, 史铮坤 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thiago Pliego was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. Eleuterio Mirande struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Thiago Pliego didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ilulea FC. In the 57th minute, Mariano Lacasa made a precise shot to the right of Gabby Arias. Ilulea FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eleuterio Mirande got free with Thiago Pliego in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guillermo Fontirroig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Lacasa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabby Arias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 77th minute, Eleuterio Mirande reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Thiago Pliego. The goal made the score 3-5. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gabby Arias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. Gabby Arias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 80th minute of play. When Mariano Lacasa came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Chile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Lacasa couldn't finish the play. In the 88th minute, Mariano Lacasa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-5. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 94th minute, Alan Tamayo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle went the supporters of Ilulea FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Chile side.
