Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. The supporters of FC KALELİ booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Patric Bierhoff kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. A collision led to FC KALELİ getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Marquinhos Fraco hit a great ball. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patric Bierhoff in the 29th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute of the match FC KALELİ got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antoni Camarasa ran over to the corner to take the kick. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patric Bierhoff, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of play forced FC KALELİ's goalkeeper Yavuz Selimhan Gulson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patric Bierhoff to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. 53 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Patric Bierhoff came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nazil Sağlamtürk in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute FC KALELİ were awarded a corner. Antoni Camarasa went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Nazil Sağlamtürk managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Camilo Gisbert made in the 58th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Luis Andino. With a little luck, FC KALELİ's Yavuz Selimhan Gulson got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 67th minute Patric Bierhoff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patric Bierhoff in the 68th minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Patric Bierhoff's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Camilo Gisbert in the 76th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC KALELİ's Ali Faruk Tansu. Nazil Sağlamtürk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. The attack was good, but when Patric Bierhoff in the 86th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nazil Sağlamtürk in the 88th minute of play.
