Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but César Boldrini made a huge save. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Cibran, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Timmy Zander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francisco Carballar hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorian Valladares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vila Industrial FC's César Boldrini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Casaus in the 28th minute of play. After some careless play in the Vila Industrial FC defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of César Boldrini. The Vila Industrial FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that César Boldrini should have stopped the shot. 32 minutes into the game, Timmy Zander was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vila Industrial FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chile the free kick. Timmy Zander kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Vila Industrial FC's César Boldrini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 35th minute of play. Roland Brack's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Dorian Valladares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pliego was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dorian Valladares in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. The supporters of Chile booed when Vila Industrial FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shao Guo Sha didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorian Valladares in the 57th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Dorian Valladares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dorian Valladares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. A nice corner shot did that Roberto Cibran got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Thiago Pliego quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 73 minutes of play, Vila Industrial FC's Dorian Valladares made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thiago Pliego was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vila Industrial FC made a substitution. Benedicto Obano replaced Dorian Valladares. Vila Industrial FC's Jan-Erik Ryberg was substituted for Paulinho de Queiroz.
