Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eddy Laporte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eddy Laporte struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KFC Vliegplein. After 26 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 33rd minute. If Endel Darmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 36 minutes into the match, KFC Vliegplein's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Teo De Jonge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teo De Jonge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 37th minute of the match. In the 39thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KFC Vliegplein's Teo De Jonge was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 41st minute, Ferdinand Weijnants got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eddy Laporte in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eddy Laporte to make the kick off. After having played for 77 minutes, Endel Darmer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFC Vliegplein's supporters crossed their fingers, but Endel Darmer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Juan Sebastián Puig fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Juan Sebastián Puig a yellow card for diving instead. After 81 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ecuador! The referee gave KFC Vliegplein a penalty, 83 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Norberto Oskitz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. 2-1. 88 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Ferdinand Weijnants came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to KFC Vliegplein getting a freekick after 91 minutes play.
