Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to The Irons Chorzów getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Alfred Kostrzewa hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, The Irons Chorzów's Pawel Kochanowski got a free kick in the 18th minute. Piotr Lech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maciej Bartelak in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind The Irons Chorzów's goalkeeper Piotr Lech, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maciej Bartelak in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Piotr Lech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maciej Bartelak, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 31 minutes into the match, The Irons Chorzów's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Piotr Lech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Piotr Lech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maciej Bartelak in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Piotr Lech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Piotr Lech despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 40th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Ecuador's Felix Montes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Piotr Lech in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maciej Bartelak in the 41st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Piotr Lech didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Patryk Snaza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere.

Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maciej Bartelak, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maciej Bartelak in the 64th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Irons Chorzów were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pawel Kochanowski took the corner. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maciej Bartelak in the 68th minute of the match. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfred Babicki charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfred Babicki the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Piotr Lech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 76th minute of play. Piotr Lech made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target.
