Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Josef Witlatschil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After 7 minutes of play, Tiger's Pentti Ojala made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Iwo Sawicki got free with Julio Vera in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Iwo Sawicki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Iwo Sawicki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pentti Ojala in the 17th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pentti Ojala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 33 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tiger! The referee gave Ecuador a penalty, 35 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Daniel Zorita, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tiger's Josef Witlatschil. 1-1. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christo Bothenhain in the 39th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Christo Bothenhain came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pentti Ojala to make the kick off. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pentti Ojala in the 51st minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pentti Ojala in the 58th minute of the match. In the 61st minute of the match, Felix Montenegro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Josef Witlatschil was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Felix Montenegro hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Felix Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute of the match Walter Baß sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera skillfully saved the ball. Daniel Zorita in the 68thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Josef Witlatschil, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tiger's goalkeeper Josef Witlatschil, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Tiger booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pentti Ojala went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Josef Witlatschil made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Josef Witlatschil was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Daniel Zorita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Zorita really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Josef Witlatschil came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. 91 minutes into the match, Tiger's Iwo Sawicki sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pentti Ojala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador played a much better game than Tiger and deserved their victory. The Tiger players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
