Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute of the match, Vicente Paraense got a very nice opportunity to score, but Benito Sanz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 6th minute, Celso Cardozo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Santos in the 15th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute, Felipe Santos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GUARANI E.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After 21 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Carballo. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felipe Santos went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Álvaro Corrêa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benito Sanz. The goal made the score 5-0. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. After 33 minutes of play, GUARANI E.C.'s Felipe Santos made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, GUARANI E.C.'s Vito Bastos got a free kick in the 36th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Felipe Santos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benito Sanz, 7-0. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alexander Carballo got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 43rd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Noboa to maneuver through the defense. Abel Carballo's late challenge caught a GUARANI E.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abel Carballo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Abel Carballo hit a great ball. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Felipe Santos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 8-0 in the 47 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 8-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Felipe Santos was the one to do the kick off. 58 minutes into the game, GUARANI E.C.'s Álvaro Corrêa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. In the 63rd minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardinho Pires in the 66th minute of play. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Álvaro Corrêa in the 74th minute of play. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Paraense in the 76th minute of the match. In the 77th minute Bernardinho Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, Anderson Seco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anderson Seco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-0. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardinho Pires in the 85th minute of play. Vicente Paraense blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Álvaro Corrêa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 94 minutes into the game, GUARANI E.C.'s Bernardinho Pires nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 11-0. In the 97thth minute of the game Anderson Seco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
