After 33 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Arias. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Ecuador's Agustín Saelices looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 40 minutes into the match, Mantequillosos CF's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Niceto Albizua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Tanek Sniegowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Niceto Albizua made a huge save. After 92 played minutes Mantequillosos CF got a freekick which was hit by Eleuterio Quinito.
