In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kwyjibo's goalkeeper Sylwester Wawro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 高宇川. In the 25th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sylwester Wawro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led Peru's Luz Tejedor to fire away a dangerous shot which Sylwester Wawro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

52 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Burgo came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute, Eliseo Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute of the match Etxepare Angostina sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rolando Noboa skillfully saved the ball. With a little luck, Kwyjibo's Sylwester Wawro got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Kwyjibo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
