In the 14th minute of the match Chile got a corner. Attard Gunners's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sergen Sergen struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Thiago Pliego didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Attard Gunners. Sergen Sergen took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 23 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jay Jowsey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 25th minute of play forced Attard Gunners's goalkeeper Jay Jowsey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alan Said to make the kick off. Sergen Sergen scored 3-0 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thiago Pliego, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
