Defensores del Tiki Tiki's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 14 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tomas Viviano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 25 minutes of play, Ecuador's Luis Andino made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tomas Viviano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Felix Montes made in the 28th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Defensores del Tiki Tiki's Teodoro Lluciano. In the 29th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomas Viviano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Defensores del Tiki Tiki's goalie prevented a goal. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 36 minutes into the match, Defensores del Tiki Tiki's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Tomas Viviano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tomas Viviano. Tomas Viviano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 44th minute of play forced Defensores del Tiki Tiki's goalkeeper Tomas Viviano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Felix Montenegro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-9. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benicio Perfecto to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Luis Andino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tomas Viviano. That made the score 0-10 after 52 minutes of play. In the 54th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-11. Defensores del Tiki Tiki's Tomas Viviano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 57th minute of play. After some careless play in the Defensores del Tiki Tiki defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomas Viviano. The Defensores del Tiki Tiki fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomas Viviano should have stopped the shot. Defensores del Tiki Tiki's Tomas Viviano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 61st minute of play. In the 65th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomas Viviano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Felix Montenegro came free with the goalkeeper in the 68th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tomas Viviano could save by the left post. In the 69th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomas Viviano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-13. Luis Andino received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tomas Viviano came out and tried to block the shot, but Luis Andino slotted it home off the left post making it 0-14 in the 75th minute. A collision led to Defensores del Tiki Tiki getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Benicio Perfecto hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Defensores del Tiki Tiki defense, Felix Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomas Viviano. The Defensores del Tiki Tiki fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomas Viviano should have stopped the shot. 84 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-16. Tomas Viviano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Defensores del Tiki Tiki's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Cristian Sancho scored to the left of an out of position Tomas Viviano, making the score, 0-17. Agustín Saelices could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Tomas Viviano made a huge save. With a little luck, Defensores del Tiki Tiki's Tomas Viviano got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristian Sancho succeeded in the game's 95th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-19. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Defensores del Tiki Tiki.
