The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 6th minute of play forced Moneyball's goalkeeper Dalmo Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emanuel Bergfelt struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moneyball. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Bergfelt in the 14th minute of the match. After 14 minutes of play, Moneyball's Emanuel Bergfelt made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Noboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Moneyball's Jacques Dupont got a free kick in the 18th minute. Moneyball were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Peru's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cheng Wei Yan took the corner. Roberto Bieito hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Moneyball's Roberto Bieito managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Moises Gayoso in the 24 minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Moneyball's Mümtaz Yetiş got a free kick in the 25th minute. Luz Tejedor took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dalmo Tasso. Moneyball's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dalmo Tasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th play minute Julian Murillo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dalmo Tasso. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 36th minute of play forced Moneyball's goalkeeper Dalmo Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Mina in the 51st minute of play forced Moneyball's goalkeeper Dalmo Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luz Tejedor in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dalmo Tasso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Peru's Alonso Berganza got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Moneyball's Oliver Bergman was substituted for Roland Rakowicz. In the 63rd minute, Alonso Berganza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peru's attentive Alonso Berganza managed to snatch the ball when Jacques Dupont made a throw-in in the 66th minute of the game. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dalmo Tasso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute Milagros Fraga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmo Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Dalmo Tasso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 80th minute of play forced Moneyball's goalkeeper Dalmo Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luz Tejedor took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dalmo Tasso. Dalmo Tasso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. 89 minutes in the game Jacques Dupont did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Cheng Wei Yan. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Peru had won after a very even match.
