Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Lautaro Puig was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 3rd minute. Costa Rica's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Sadettin Uzcan took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Kerim Ötüken kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Kevin Amado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alan Moruga in the 15th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alan Moruga in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kevin Amado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Denizli's Kerim Ötüken got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute of the match Alan Moruga sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kevin Amado skillfully saved the ball. In the 24th minute Kerim Ötüken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Denizli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Batıray Kadıoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the game, Eliseo Noboa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kevin Amado. Eliseo Noboa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sadettin Uzcan in the 31st minute of play. Denizli's Vedat Bedel got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kerim Ötüken took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Denizli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fedai Taran didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Denizli's goalkeeper Kevin Amado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Axel Tasis.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Axel Tasis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lautaro Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Sadettin Uzcan made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 56thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Benito Sanz would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. 58 minutes into the game, Sadettin Uzcan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Denizli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fedai Taran didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the game, Sadettin Uzcan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 74th play minute Kerim Ötüken came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Benito Sanz. 1-6. Abel Carballo hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. If Dilmen Çağkar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sadettin Uzcan in the 81st minute of play. Alexander Carballo lost his temper 83 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 87th minute of play forced Denizli's goalkeeper Kevin Amado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Sadettin Uzcan sent off a good shot on target. When Lautaro Puig fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Lautaro Puig a yellow card for diving instead. Lautaro Puig hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Sadettin Uzcan put it in 1-7 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz.
