Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Joel Gaona got the match started through his kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Newcastle United F.C.'s zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rasmus Sigman came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fredrik Glanselius in the 9th minute. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zlatan Malmberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 13th minute of play forced Newcastle United F.C.'s goalkeeper Rasmus Sigman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rasmus Sigman having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Witomir Arnista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zlatan Malmberg kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joakim Vennerlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Aydın Tor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aydın Tor in the 29th minute of the match. The supporters of Mexico booed when Newcastle United F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt Arhenius didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rasmus Sigman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Joakim Vennerlund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joakim Vennerlund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Yngve Hök's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yngve Hök helped the player get up and apologised. Yngve Hök hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Facundo Cadaval kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The supporters of Newcastle United F.C. booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dante Lacasa was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Zlatan Malmberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zlatan Malmberg really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aydın Tor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Newcastle United F.C.'s Zlatan Malmberg. But to his dismay, Zlatan Malmberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zlatan Malmberg in the 70th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aydın Tor in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Joakim Vennerlund came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rasmus Sigman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute, Joel Gaona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Newcastle United F.C. had won after a very even match.
