Panathinaikos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alan Tamayo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 14 minutes into the game, Chile's Mariano Lacasa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gerard Swee made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Chile's Orlando Casaus got a free kick in the 18th minute. 叶德光 hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Lacasa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerard Swee breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
