Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off. Penuel Football Club's Fe Lizaur managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Lautaro Puig in the 5 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 18th minute of play forced Penuel Football Club's goalkeeper Veronica Vielva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Veronica Vielva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 21st minute of play. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Efrain Moruga made in the 25th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Eliseo Noboa immediately put the ball in play. Lautaro Puig blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Veronica Vielva having to make a save. Axel Tasis took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Veronica Vielva. Veronica Vielva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Penuel Football Club's Veronica Vielva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 32nd minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Efrain Moruga in the 35th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Penuel Football Club's Jairo Patiño. Juan Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 45th minute of the game Hugo Ferrant made a throw-in which Lautaro Puig played forward. Veronica Vielva came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Costa Rica's Axel Tasis. But to his dismay, Axel Tasis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Matías Almeyda was the one to do the kick off. Efrain Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. The throw-in from Efrain Moruga in the 56th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Penuel Football Club's Jairo Patiño. 58 minutes in the game Efrain Moruga did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Eliseo Noboa. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Bertiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Penuel Football Club's Ramos Cuyar was substituted for Fernando Cavenaghi. Penuel Football Club made a substitution. Goizeder Getino replaced Danel Ayllon. Efrain Moruga got a throw-in 69 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Aaron Alcocer. 77 minutes into the game, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Veronica Vielva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Penuel Football Club's Fe Lizaur managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hugo Ferrant in the 80 minute of the game. 82 minutes into the game, Hugo Ferrant threw the ball into play from the sideline. Penuel Football Club's Goren Alva quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 85th minute, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. If Goizeder Getino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Noboa to maneuver through the defense. Penuel Football Club's Fe Lizaur managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hugo Ferrant in the 95 minute of the game. Costa Rica were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Penuel Football Club's much stronger midfield.
