Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Eric Târban's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. RIVER's Marcial Lordi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute of play. Marcial Lordi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 26th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Lordi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eric Târban in the 34th minute. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcial Lordi having to interfere. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind RIVER's goalkeeper Marcial Lordi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute. 42 minutes in the game Primitivo Andino did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Felix Montenegro. The supporters of Ecuador booed when RIVER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingo Remigio didn't get a good kick on the ball. RIVER made a substitution. Tobias Belmiro replaced Bruno Oxarra. A collision led to RIVER getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Domingo Remigio hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The RIVER players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Niki Lauda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 57 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. RIVER made a substitution. Pipo Benedetto replaced Eric Târban. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Daniel Zorita hit a great ball. Marcial Lordi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 63rd minute. Marcial Lordi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 67th minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niki Lauda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute Niki Lauda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marco Rudolfo during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 77 minutes into the game, one of RIVER:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 82 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcial Lordi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 86th minute, Rosendo Osorio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. RIVER made a substitution. Wu Li Zhi replaced Niki Lauda. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Marcial Lordi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcial Lordi having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than RIVER.
