In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind SOAD's goalkeeper Marco Testaferrata Viani, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Venezuela's Roberto Ocampo was substituted for Patricio Costa. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marco Testaferrata Viani having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonathan Venegas during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. SOAD's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
