In the 53rd minute, Geovanildo Luis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Manzanares was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Joinville City - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Haji Sarap, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tomás Reis hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Haji Sarap took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santino Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Montenegro got free with Haji Sarap in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Axel Montenegro came free with the goalkeeper in the 72nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Haji Sarap could save by the left post. If Ronaldinho Gaucho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Horácio Abraão was substituted for Bernardino Llorenc. 82 minutes into the match, Joinville City - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Haji Sarap had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abram Secada. Marius Mititel took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adhemar Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adhemar Santos in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Manzanares saved Colombia from getting behind. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marius Mititel in the 95th minute of play.
