Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Aníbal da Fonseca in the 14 minute of the game. With a little luck, La Società Sport Osasco's Samuel Santos got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eliseo Mina showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emil Wincek stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Samuel Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilvan Maranhense in the 89th minute of the match. La Società Sport Osasco's Samuel Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 93rd minute of play. There was no doubt that Peru were the better team. Peru's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
