Luca Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Urdin Pacheco having to make a save. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 莫旭谦 in the 12th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 莫旭谦, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, 莫旭谦 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. When Claudio-Paul Benedetto came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the AVISMU FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudio-Paul Benedetto couldn't finish the play. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 莫旭谦 in the 31st minute of play. Urdin Pacheco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Urdin Pacheco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 54th minute Erhard Grunewald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 78 minutes AVISMU FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Urdin Pacheco quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Urdin Pacheco successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 81th minute after AVISMU FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Erhard Grunewald fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. In the 84th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Rouco to maneuver through the defense. After 85 played minutes, AVISMU FC's Andrei Solera shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dante Lacasa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AVISMU FC reached it. Alberto Tafalla might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Urdin Pacheco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Tafalla ran back to his position shaking his head. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Urdin Pacheco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
