Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Cristian Sancho hit a great ball. 8 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Traian Brăiloiu. After 11 played minutes F.C. YKE got a freekick which was hit by Rodri Gol. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Traian Brăiloiu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Julio Vera firmly grabbed it by the left post. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodri Gol in the 17th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, F.C. YKE's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Felix Leahu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Traian Brăiloiu got free with Julio Vera in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Leahu having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Felix Leahu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodri Gol got free with Julio Vera in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 32nd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. F.C. YKE's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Felix Montes made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that F.C. YKE's Felix Leahu managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 34th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. F.C. YKE's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Juan Sebastián Puig made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that F.C. YKE's Felix Leahu managed to reach the ball for a save. Traian Brăiloiu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Traian Brăiloiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Twan van Nistelrooij took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Julio Vera to make any attempt to save it. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 47th minute. F.C. YKE's Samet Ağar was substituted for Rodri Gol. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Samet Ağar to strike the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Traian Brăiloiu in the 53rd minute of the match. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 60 minutes F.C. YKE's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. After 68 minutes, Samet Ağar made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Traian Brăiloiu in the 78th minute of play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Traian Brăiloiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Twan van Nistelrooij stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Twan van Nistelrooij tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Felix Leahu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Ecuador's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
