Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Nurettin in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jalmari Mikkonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Matt De Ligt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pinner Cluj-Napoca made a substitution. Franco Vázquez replaced Matt De Ligt. Matt De Ligt hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute, Eliseo Mina fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jalmari Mikkonen, passed just outside the right post. Peru made a substitution. A sloppy throw-in by Ivan Ghiondea in the 82nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Alonso Berganza. Ali Nurettin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jalmari Mikkonen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafael Gallo's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. After a rather tough play, Pinner Cluj-Napoca's Ivan Ghiondea got a free kick in the 94th minute.
