FC XY's Miroslav Motuz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 10th minute of play. With an all-out effort, FC XY's Rolando Noboa threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Orhan Veli Mirac, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. FC XY's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Martin Slaninka in the 15th minute. A well done corner resulted in Martin Lukáč drilling the ball in to score 1-0 behind Peru's goalkeeper. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Orhan Veli Mirac tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miroslav Motuz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julian Murillo to strike the kick off in the second half. The throw-in from Martin Zelenák in the 50th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Miroslav Motuz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Gallo in the 84th minute. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Martin Lukáč made a throw-in in the 88th minute of the game. In the 91st minute of the match, Rafael Gallo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Miroslav Motuz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Miroslav Motuz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Gallo, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute.
