Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michal Arendarski, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Meng Yan Jing read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Felix Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Abandon All Hope's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the match, Abandon All Hope's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Meng Yan Jing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Meng Yan Jing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Meng Yan Jing. Abandon All Hope's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Artur Marajda kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Meng Yan Jing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 93rd minute of the match. A collision led to Abandon All Hope getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Artur Marajda hit a great ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ecuador had played much better football throughout.
