An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 12th minute of play forced FC Politehnica Timisoara's goalkeeper Isac Hojbota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isac Hojbota. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ernest Manea to strike the kick off in the second half.
