Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernest Manea to make the kick off. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 2-5 when Julian Murillo sped through FC Politehnica Timisoara's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Isac Hojbota. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Politehnica Timisoara's goalkeeper Isac Hojbota, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A throw-in in the 63rd minute of the game was made by Vintilă Bălășescu with Håvard Bjørke as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Julian Murillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Rafael Gallo in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Isac Hojbota, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Peru's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
