Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Hertha 1969's Wilhelm Nienhaus started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Peru were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after Hertha 1969's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. 8 minutes into the game, Hertha 1969's Zé Paulo da Silva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 13th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Alonso Berganza fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rune Jarstein quite easily take care of the ball. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gigel Elenescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Noboa was a little too slow when Wilhelm Nienhaus got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 22nd minute, Efraim Gilabert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Rune Jarstein was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lüder Roppel made in the 30th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Milagros Fraga's late challenge caught a Hertha 1969's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Milagros Fraga helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Hertha 1969 booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Milagros Fraga didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the game, Peru's Eliseo Mina nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rune Jarstein made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. In the 42nd minute Gigel Elenescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lüder Roppel hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rune Jarstein breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moritz Hasenjäger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Zé Paulo da Silva sent off a good shot on target. The Hertha 1969 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peru were winning 2-3.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rune Jarstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Rune Jarstein made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luz Tejedor in the 58th minute. If Luz Tejedor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Lüder Roppel, made in the 65th minute of the game. Rune Jarstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 70th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Peru's Julian Murillo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rune Jarstein. That made the score 2-4 after 77 minutes of play. Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 82nd minute of play. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gigel Elenescu in the 86th minute of play. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Peru's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Zé Paulo da Silva was slow to take the kick. During this time Hertha 1969's players had a chance to rest. Rune Jarstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Gallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Antonio Tenorio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rune Jarstein. That made the score 2-5 in the 92 minute of play. A collision led to Hertha 1969 getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Lüder Roppel hit a great ball. The Peru supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Peru would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
