Miroslaw Labus made in the 31st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Christian Sancho. Edmundo Espiga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Jan Turek made a huge save. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ's Krzysztof Prus. But to his dismay, Krzysztof Prus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iwo Kuszczak in the 36th minute of play. The throw-in from Dominik Turak in the 38th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Christian Sancho. 43 minutes into the game, Milagros Cabal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Honduras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 43rd minute of the game. One of Honduras:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ:s goal. The referee gave GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ a penalty, 44 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Norbert Mikulski, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Honduras's Lautaro Navarro. 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Krzysztof Prus stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54thth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ's Jan Turek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jan Turek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 59th minute of the match. Edmundo Espiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lautaro Navarro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Krzysztof Prus in the 63rd minute. Jan Turek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Krzysztof Prus. Jan Turek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. In the 80th minute of the game Miroslaw Labus made a throw-in which Iwo Kuszczak played forward. Krzysztof Pruss short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Lautaro Navarro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 82nd minute of play forced GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ's goalkeeper Jan Turek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Krzysztof Prus came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Krzysztof Prus couldn't finish the play. Jan Turek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute, Sebastian Villa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 92 minutes into the match, GKS OLIMPIA GRUDZIĄDZ's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Jan Turek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Honduras lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
