In the 35thth minute of the game Luis Andino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but EdirneSpor's Sari Kanarya was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 37th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. EdirneSpor's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. When İnanç Erakıncı fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored EdirneSpor's protests and gave İnanç Erakıncı a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st match minute, EdirneSpor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by İnanç Erakıncı to maneuver through the defense. EdirneSpor's Sari Kanarya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save EdirneSpor from getting a goal against them. With his leg Sari Kanarya managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If kaya Bal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After taking down the ball on EdirneSpor's corner Gencer Fazilet fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Gencer Fazilet scored 2-0 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zico Galinec in the 79th minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Agustín Saelices recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sari Kanarya. Agustín Saelices showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. İnanç Erakıncı succeeded in the game's 86th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-1. 89 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when İnanç Erakıncı came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The EdirneSpor players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
