Sören Glanselius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Furkan Erbay blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. 13 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Furkan Erbay came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute, Furkan Erbay ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Alex Chicote hit a great ball. Furkan Erbay struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for the Red Devils. Jonathan Ferrant didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when the Red Devils's Furkan Erbay shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. After the first half the Red Devils were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 52nd minute of play forced the Red Devils's goalkeeper Sören Glanselius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sören Glanselius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After some careless play in the the Red Devils defense, Patricio Costa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sören Glanselius. The the Red Devils fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sören Glanselius should have stopped the shot. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to the Red Devils getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Hayati Tunçbay hit a great ball. After 80 minutes of play, the Red Devils's Furkan Erbay made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 88 minutes into the match, Furkan Erbay notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Furkan Erbay tried to sneak it across the goal line. Devlet Betim hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched the Red Devils eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
