Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) 7 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Old Boys's Aurelian Hidiș. Aurelian Hidiș was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. In the 12th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelian Hidiș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelian Hidiș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelian Hidiș having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 43rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelian Hidiș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aurelian Hidiș came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Felix Montenegro. But to his dismay, Felix Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Aurelian Hidiș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Aurelian Hidiș didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. A hard shot 65 in the game by Cristian Sancho from a close distance when the talented Aurelian Hidiș managed to make a qualified save. Old Boys's players were relieved. Panait Groza took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. When Old Boys's Iacob Drăgoescu in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Aurelian Hidiș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes into the match, Old Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Aurelian Hidiș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Old Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stelian Zorlescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 81 in the game by Cristian Sancho from a close distance when the talented Aurelian Hidiș managed to make a qualified save. Old Boys's players were relieved. With a little luck, Old Boys's Aurelian Hidiș got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aurelian Hidiș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 85th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aurelian Hidiș, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Iacob Drăgoescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 93 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes.
