Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Matildo Fillol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 5th minute. In the 5th minute, one of A. Korn:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for A. Korn. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol had in the 7thth minute some difficulties stopping Daniel Zorita's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Ubaldo Matildo Fillol despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the match, A. Korn's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Ubaldo Matildo Fillol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luis Andino in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ubaldo Matildo Fillol saved A. Korn from getting behind. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute, Cornel Vulpe fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ruben Salvator in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by A. Korn's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but A. Korn's Ubaldo Matildo Fillol did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Salvator in the 35th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th match minute, A. Korn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zbigniew Fedosz to maneuver through the defense. A. Korn's Ubaldo Matildo Fillol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 40th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Ruben Salvator fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ruben Salvator made a kick off. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon Diaz in the 51st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramon Diaz in the 52nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruben Salvator took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 58th minute of play. In the 64th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. A. Korn's Cirilo Urki was substituted for Ramon Diaz. Cristian Sancho in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ubaldo Matildo Fillol, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Ubaldo Matildo Fillol made a huge save. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruben Salvator in the 75th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ubaldo Matildo Fillol prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind A. Korn's goalkeeper Ubaldo Matildo Fillol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 81st minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cirilo Urki might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cirilo Urki ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than A. Korn throughout the match.
