In the 15th minute Mariano Mazuste shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Costa Rica were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after CLUB ATLÉTICO TIGRE's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Axel Tasis took the corner. Axel Tasis made a great header on Costa Rica's corner, it was just that CLUB ATLÉTICO TIGRE's Albino Mosen managed to reach the ball for a save. If Angelo Arcari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Constantino Alfonso, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Axel Tasis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albino Mosen having to interfere. After the first half CLUB ATLÉTICO TIGRE were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Constantino Alfonso to make the kick off. After 51 minutes, Victorino Cordara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CLUB ATLÉTICO TIGRE and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 51 played minutes CLUB ATLÉTICO TIGRE got a freekick which was hit by Victorino Cordara. Albino Mosen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 52nd minute of the match. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. After 64 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Ferrant. In the 68th minute, Fidel Stanislao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 72 minutes, Hugo Ferrant mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the CLUB ATLÉTICO TIGRE players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hugo Ferrant hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 80 minutes into the game, Aaron Alcocer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CLUB ATLÉTICO TIGRE the free kick. In the 80th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Alcocer to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantino Alfonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eliseo Noboa kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Angelo Arcari hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. CLUB ATLÉTICO TIGRE's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
