Mário de Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Cunha came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléber Souza having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Mário de Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cléber Souza came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cléber Souza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 29 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Arí Paiva came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Arí Paiva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. 42 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Cunha came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Barreto in the 43rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Jose Correa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maxaranguape - FSCMZ the free kick. The supporters of Maxaranguape - FSCMZ booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Hugo Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hugo Barreto in the 53rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 55th minute Maxaranguape - FSCMZ were awarded a corner. Cacá Ramos went to the cornerflag to take it. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arí Paiva in the 59th minute of play. The supporters of Maxaranguape - FSCMZ booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cacá Ramos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. 64 minutes into the game, Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's Arí Paiva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Barreto in the 70th minute of the match. Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's Hugo Cunha got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hugo Barreto succeeded in the game's 76th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-6. Jonathan Venegas's late challenge caught a Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Venegas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th minute, Jonathan Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hugo Cunha's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Hugo Barreto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 91st minute. The score was now 0-7. The Maxaranguape - FSCMZ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Maxaranguape - FSCMZ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
